APA-American Psychological Association
Bibliography - a list of everything you used in the course of your research; bibliography gives credit to sources you consulted, gives information to those who want to research the topic further and provides authority to the information presented
Citation - giving credit to the source; citations contain basic information about the source such as author, title, publisher, year of publication, format.
MLA - Modern Language Association
References - a list of all the works you used in your paper; generally used with APA-formatted papers.
Works Cited - a list of only the works you actually used in your paper, generally used with MLA-formatted papers
